Description
Note: these test dates are only for those with English as a Second Language.
If you are applying to become a police officer or protective security officer, you are required to complete literacy and numeracy tests. These tests cover spelling, reading comprehension, numeracy, written expression, computer document formatting and typing skills. TAFE SA, in consultation with SAPOL, conducts these tests every fortnight.
The TAFE SA Police Recruitment Test is available in some regional areas. If you cannot complete the SA Police Recruitment Test due to your location, please contact SAPOL Recruiting Section (Ph 7322 3353) to discuss alternative testing arrangements for country and interstate applicants.
You must be 17 years of age or over to sit the tests.
NOTE: SAPOL advises that a criminal or serious traffic offence history may deem you ineligible to apply as a police recruit, community constable or protective security officer. If you have concerns about previous criminal or serious traffic offences, you should discuss them with South Australia Police Recruiting Section (Ph 7322 3353) prior to undertaking the TAFE SA literacy and numeracy tests.
